The Roots of Our Name
The name Nuevo Malacatos is a tribute to a valley in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador where Diego discovered a profound connection to the land and the simple joys of rural living. "Malacatos" translates to "land of the young and old," and by adding "Nuevo"—meaning new—the farm envisions a "New Malacatos" right here in Brighton, Ontario.
